1967 is the year of the Monterey pop festival , the first of the great rock music gatherings and the height of the ”summer of love” , where most of the artists performed for free.

Two of the covers are from the first and second issues of Rolling Stone magazine, which came into being at the end of the year, and one features an image of Marianne Faithfull the Rolling Stones‘ muse instead. In this year Otis Redding dies and some of the main hits are : I ‘ m a believer by the Monkees, Light my fire by the Doors and All you need is love by the Beatles.
