Our roots

WHERE WE START FROM

Children in time began its activity as a concert organizer in 2010 . In the first 2 years the most important concerts take place at the Fillmore in Cortemaggiore . In December of that year we brought Randy Hansen and Leon Hendrix ( Jimi‘s brother) to the Magiostrian stage in a classic tribute to the most famous guitarist in rock history.

Followed by many others up to Ian Anderson on his only Italian date in September 2011, with a completely packed Fillmore and many people left outside the gates due to the exhaustion of available seats. At the close of that year’s season we brought ”The Voice of Rock” Glenn Hughes to the Cortemaggioe stage in a memorable concert , accompanied by the Matt Filippini Band.

The concerts then continued for several years until 2016 at the Association’s headquarters on the Sound Bonico stage in Piacenza. Thanks especially to the contributions of Alice Acerbi, Luca Rancati, Marco Gandolfi, Leonardo Bongiorni and Emanuele Picciani.

In the same years at the Mofo Studio by Marco Gandolfi , Mariano Freschi and the Children in Time he captains produced a record/collection of covers of songs by major Rock Bands of the 60s/70s , hosting the likes of Ken Hensley of the Uriah Heep, Don Airey of the Deep Purple, Doogie White of Rainbow, Carmine Appice (formerly Vanilla Fudge, formerly Rod Stewart Band) who, among other things, will hold a clinic and concert at the association’s headquarters, Bobby Kimball of Toto, Bernie Marsden formerly of Whitesnake and with pleasant surprise, our very talented Marina Fiordaliso in a Stephen Stills piece accompanied on Hammond by the great and sadly late Ken Hensley.

Definitely , because of the fame of the people who participated in it the most important record ever produced and recorded in Piacenza.

The record will be released by our friends at The Night of the Vinyl Dead in 2021 .

So many activities planned for 2020 , have had to be postponed in this very difficult year including an event/exhibition at Carroponte in Sesto San Giovanni in cooperation with the City Council.
